More Birthday Fun!

On Saturday August 15th we spent the afternoon celebrating my Great Aunt Sadie's 79th birthday. They actually put 79 candles on the cake, which made quite the flame :) This is a short video of her attempting to blow them out!

Nathan loved her big trees in the yard, so Jeremy hoisted him up on his shoulders to see the leaves. What a cute little man he is!

He also enjoyed walking around her huge back yard with his daddy...and yes, he is walking! (with help) but walking! It won't be long now until he's completely mobile.

That evening we celebrated my birthday with the Ard clan... Nathan was mesmerized by the candles- not a good sign!

We did find, however, that he is a big fan of ice cream cake! Yummy!

On Sunday we had planned to go camping up at Guanella Pass, so the entire Baldwin clan went to church in Elizabeth. We were all packed to leave after the meetings and all the men took Monday off work so we could stay over night. BUT...Saturday night Nathan was up several times needing more Tylenol. He has several more teeth coming in and on Sunday he woke up really congested. We got through sacrament meeting (sorta) but just before Sunday school started he covered me (and the RS room floor) in projectile vomit- three times in a row! It was at that point that we decided we did not want to share a sleeping bag with him and drag him up to the mountains when he was feeling so crumby.

We ended up gathering at our house for an at home BBQ and had our campfire in the fire pit in the back yard. So, all in all it was not a total loss!

Nothing could stop the newly engaged couple from having their fun!

Nathan found the cheek popping VERY entertaining :) In fact, at one point the whole family got going at once to keep him distracted. I managed to get a video of the cheek popping band in action:

After a little root beer Nathan started getting sleepy so we took one last family photo before calling it a night.

After a couple of days of lots of sleep the grumpiness gave way to the busy little boy I know and love. Back to business as usual, he is crawling and climbing like crazy!

This is the video I took of his first crawling just a few days before my birthday! He has only been at it for a week and he is already getting better and faster...

Well, that's all for today! More updates soon.
