Jamie got jeleous and tried to run away with the whole thing, but we stopped her before she got too far.
Then, she tried to blame the whole thing on Nathan! He didn't complain, though...he like the ride.
Once we had battered the poor pinata to pieces we gathered in the goods and began to clean up. Heather and Will, however, would rather play in the rubble :)
So, Jamie gave Will a personal training session on boxing..."You hit like a girl! Is that the best you can do?!"....man, she's mean!
Nathan decided he did not want the same fate as Will, so he did his share and helped grandma to clean up shop.
After we got finished and came inside Jason, who decided to stiff us for a singles dance, showed up.
Hi Uncle Jason!
Turns out, the singles dance was a costume party with a Narnia theme and he needed a costume. Who better than Jeremy to outfit him as a knight...and/or Prince Caspian?
Will had to try first, but he was having WAY too much fun in the land of pretend, so we made him take it off so we could get Jason to his dance :)
Isn't it fun to be a knight? ...Looks kinda painful to me!
I made him take off the hat so he didn't look like a squire dressing up as a knight ;0)
Such a cute little knight...
At the stoke of midnight, after a long awaited countdown, the silly string war began. Poor Will was unprepared for the wrath of Heather...nobody told him about the silly string...oops!
Each siezed the moment to welcome in the new year with style :) Willingly ... or not.
Doesn't my house look sooooo pretty? We really know how to make a mess!
The next day we had a slow start in the morning, played with Nathan (and his hair). Who knew it would stand up soooo tall? And yes, dad is holing the large balloon he just rubbed on Nathan's head.
He also thought it would be funny to show Nathan how the balloons squeal and deflate...and as if that was not bad enough- he gave him Pop Rocks! He was not a fan AT ALL. He seemed to think that whatever dad put in his mouth was still moving :) He still doesn't take food from Jeremy, just in case!

The 2nd of January we had a luau for Heather's bridal shower. Yes, she is wearing coconuts!
Anna and Jamie were in charge of hanging up the decorations, but somehow got distracted...
The crowd was gathered and the games began...first off- how well does Heather know her groom?
Not very well, unfortunately. Every time she got an answer wrong she had to put another piece of chewing gum in her mouth. Before too long she had 20 pieces in there!
Then, we broke out the TP creations. Anywhere from bra's and sexy panties to garters, bouquets, bow ties and more!
All personlaized by the quantity used to make the art :)
Then, there was the fierce competition for the goodies rewarded to the winner of toss the bouquet!
Those girls were FAST!
I will spare you the pictures of the goods given to the bride-to-be, but she made out pretty well :)
All in all, the luau was a grand success!
One party down, one wedding to go! The rest of the preparations began.. mom on the bustle...
Nathan wanted to steam the tablecloths, and did a very good job! What a good helper!
There were snowflakes to hang

walls to cover...
trees to assemble and arrange...
and centerpieces to arrange.
We took a break to perticipate in a lovely "rehearsal" dinner, provided by Will's Aunt Shanna and all her helpers :) Yummy!
Nathan really enjoyed the rolls!
After dinner we went around the room and shared advice with the bride and groom-to-be...lots of good adcive, but somebody needed to guard the young virgin ears of our single Jamie :) Jason was up for the task.
Nathan and Will's nephew Westin got to see each other again for the first time since Thanksgiving. What a happy reunion for the rug rats :)
After the dinner was over the cleaning ensued and the preparations continued. Some returned order to the kitchen
while others began baking cakes...
There were flowers to arrange....
and then cakes to frost...
It was all hands on deck...except for Nathan, who was re-arranging our reception area...
and Jason, who deemed himself "management"....hahaha.
After a long, late night...it was time- ready or not- for the happy couple to finally make it official!
They had an amazing sealing, and Heather looked gorgeous! We were all waiting for them outside when they made their exit as husband and wife.
There are FAR too many pictures from the day to post them all, so I will post a brief highlight and later post a link to the online photo gallery with a more complete set of photos :)
A big cheer for the newly weds!
I love the daddy daughter shots.

What a beautiful dress! I had to put in one that shows off the detial :)
The bridal party was having a little too much fun...
We all love Jamie...the little heart breaker!
Aren't older brothers the best?
Yes, those ARE snowballs! Friends can be a strong word sometimes :)
So pretty.
I love that face...nothing but trouble.
Look at those blue eyes!
Looks like they're official!
Now it's off to the reception...or something.
Winter wonderland indeed! Total of 45 trees!
A table full of fabulous food...chicken fettucini, green beans, rolls, blue punch....
and a chocolate fountain!!! Yummy :)
They had the most amazing cake ever!
We had to keep Aunt Virginia from sneaking a piece of her masterpiece...naughty, naughty!
The Devner Temple sitting regally on top of the cake creation, very fitting.
The photo op was irresistable ;0)
Uncle Dave pulled a nasty trick on Will while his eyes were closed!
What cute sisters...I love this one!
Now the brothers, with their grandpa Rodgers.
Meanwhile, there was trouble brewing amongst the bridal party...the rental car was about to be...modified.
Speaking of trouble...he was INCHES away from taking out the table with the chocolate fountain on it before dad caught him and his runaway trash can on wheels :)
That's no snowflake coming down...that's the next ticket out of the singles ward!
Before long it's time to bid the happy couple off to their honeymoon. BYE!
Congrats to the love birds!
We couldn't let them leave quietly...
And then it's back down with all the decorations. All good things must come to an end, eh?
