Update: Part 1

Yes, this update is going to have to be done in pieces. I am just that much of a slacker. Oh well. Toward the end of April I was called as the 2nd (Enrichment) counselor in the RS, which has kept me quite busy.... THEN, at the beginning of last month I had a close friend get married and was privileged to take her wedding photos- however, I have been working on organizing and photo-shopping them with all of my spare time and neglected to keep up to date on all the other things going on since then!
However, while everyone was in town for the wedding Jeremy, Nathan and I got to enjoy a day at the Aquarium with them.

They even had a small tank with things that you could touch! Playing with squishy live ocean things... definately a daddy job :)

Nathan really enjoyed the BIG fish, which are not
something anybody sees very often!

It was really fun to watch Jeremy show his little buddy about the big world and experience the aquarium through a little boy's eyes.

I loved this picture, this was one of the first fish Nathan actually saw on his own, and he was fascinated with it.

...............................................
Shortly after all the wedding festivities there was, of course Mother's Day. The boys made us a really nice dinner- I did not help at all :) - steak, onions, potatoes, salad...the good stuff!!!

The girls....helped? Well, anyway- they did what they do best.

And here and the grandmas doing what they do best...loving their grandson! (..and teaching him to throw rock...mom).

Who said he could play outside in his suit anyways? :)

Jeremy bought all the moms flowers, and when I came downstairs it looked like there was a live forest in my kitchen! It was stunning to see all those live plants together. The most amazing part is that of the 3 plants (the cut flowers died...sadly) all three are still alive!
..................
Anna's graduation party was quite the smash-

This is her with her good friend (before the craziness ensued)

It all started as an innocent balloon game: the floor was covered in red and white balloons (her graduation colors were red, white and black); the boys were red and the girls were white (the way the graduation gowns were) and each had a room in which they had to get all of their color balloons and remove all the no-their-color balloons)....good times!

The boys won, and the prize was......about 2 cans of silly string each! RUN!

Sorry for the sideways picture, but it works :)- I had technical difficulties and after a while decided that this was fine...Anyways- the girls, being rushed into a decision....chose poorly. They all holed up in the tiny downstairs bathroom (which has the easiest lock to bully open)...and well-

got creamed! As soon as Anna tried to make a break for it she got the brunt of the attack.

However, they all had it coming eventually :)

Looking good ladies! You WEAR that silly string!

Soon, the majority of the group settled down for some....friendly?...game playing.

It was right about then that our precious Jamie showed up (post war, of course!)

But there were still battles to be had... and yes- those are pool noodles!

Anna got the REAL weapon- Way to pull and Angelina Jolie! Ow OW!

Oh, and who could forget the fog horn? (That was my mom's brilliant idea)

And yes, all of this is indeed happening around the chocolate fountain on the breakfast bar.

Anna's great expectations were made known, and the big news was out of the bag!...She's not actually pregnant, she incidentally swallowed a watermelon seed about 7 months ago and now look what happened :)

And while we are telling incriminating stories of balloon babies and what-not...Jamie must have been jelous that she was not the father, and quickly seduced herself a new lover!

There he is...thinking "is she really signalling to ME?!?!?" I sooooo should have showered!"

Well, shower or no shower- the love fight began. Quite the lengthy wrestle took place...cusions were flying...

So was Jamie's hair...that's when Anna tried (in vain) to intervene with the left over silly string.

But there was no stopping this feast of physical war...our little pocket rocket is all grown up and chasing boys!

Here's where it gets juicy! Right about here, when they were laying on the floor, flushed and out of breath, Jeremy walked in! He took one look in the living room, and I could see the look on his face that said, "What kind of teenage party is this? Kids on top of each other in the middle of the floor?" But, before he could say anything I quietly said, "Before you say anything...I think you should know that's your sister." HAHAHAHA!!!!

Awwww. All is fair in love and war, eh?....but this story has kind of a funny ending to it- to be continued :)
Jaime (hi-may)...Jamie's new "friend"- love ya girl!- left mysteriously...but the party went on.

The helium balloons began to serve their secondary purpose: entertainement :) I got some great video, but one of my favorites has Jeremy singing "On the Street Where You Live" in the background! (Yes, my grown, mature, husband)

Jamie's love affair: part II
When Jaime returned to the party I didn't even recognize him! He had left, gone home and gotten all dolled up- shower, cologne, did his hair, nice clothes...etc. AND, as soon as he got back he and Jamie picked up right where they left off. Ready for the punch line?

By this time Ken must have picked up on the ... interest?...and when I turned around he had found his way to sharing the couch with good ol' Jaime and was questioning him :) .."So, now what are your plans? More school? Work?..." hehehe, what a good daddy!

When it got dark enough, the masses rolled outside for some explosive action! What? FIRE!?! Where???? There must be Baldwins close...

And, there are also non-Baldwins close....everybody loves fire, right?

There was quite a show out on the driveway... Some legal ones, lots of illegal ones, and one VERY 20 foot strand of firecrackers. Plug your ears everybody!!! (It sounded like we were in the middle of a shoot-out!)

I have to take a second and give special tribute to my parents' neighbor...who is a police officer, and was standing in his yard watching us light some VERY not-legal fireworks, but saw that we were being safe and having a great time celebrating so he just watched :)
There were Roman candles:

And dancing in the strobe lights:

And when all was said and done the party was a blast!...Start to finish. CONGRATS ANNA!
