Father's Day 2014

In holding with tradition, Jeremy's Father's day gifts were steak and rockets.
After everyone had finished with church on Sunday we gathered with Jason, Ken and Cathy to launch the rockets in a nearby park.

Needless to say they boys had a BLAST!

Nathan was the official rocket retriever, but when they went out of sight daddy got to go along :)
They succeeded in retrieving the rocket for all but 1 out of more than a dozen launches!

Victory!

Look at that handsome daddy having a fabulous time on his special day :)
Hubby does love rockets!

Grandpa helped make sure sissy didn't get into too much trouble :)

And Levi... his job was to sit there and look cute. He is getting so good at this job!

More victorious returns!

Did you see that ninja thing I just did, mom? Did you take a picture of it?

Jason was talking/skyping with his fiancee, Rasy, throughout the festivities. He was trying to help her get a taste of what was going on... but it looks to me like he could get back just a little more....

Nope- apparently the best place to watch a rocket launch from (or video one from) is as close to the launch pad as possible!

Everyone got a chance to launch one... even our littlest man!

I didn't know he could push buttons so well!

What, mom? The light was on so I pushed the button!

After the sun left us behind we returned to our new abode to cook up some steak, salad, and chocolate fondue for the adults while the kiddos slid happily into bed after a long, full day of fun and excitement.

We sure enjoyed having a day to celebrate the amazing dad and husband Jeremy is in our family, and are grateful to have him in our lives. I hope that all the dads were equally celebrated and enjoyed their day as much as ours did!
