May 2020

As the school year came winding to a close the kids were still enjoying being creative about time at home. They figured out how to make hammocks with sheets and the bunk bed!

May is also Mother's day, and this year is one of the best ever! I got to make a lovely brunch full of all my favorites, just the way I like it :)
We could do church whenever I was ready, at our own leisure. And it was a day relaxing with my family!

And they spoiled me rotten :)

They sent me on a treasure hunt

I was sent on 2 different treasure hunts and got shoes, a fuzzy pillow and even Dough Dreamery cookie dough!

We also started getting creative and taking the cats out for "walks" around the front yard.

Before too long we missed our cousins and family in Arizona, so we made out way down south!
Pool time!!!!

Nothin' better than chillin' with family!

Night swimming!!!

Ok, the real reason we went down there (along with many others) was to attend Andrew's baptsim!
After the baptism they had an ice cream bar- yummy!

Congrats Andrew! So many people came who love you!

Look at this motley bunch of cousins!

And our gorgeous host and hostess :)

Next event: Kayla's birthday party!
Rasy wanted to surprise her, so she put up this impressive spread while Kayla was napping :)

Some of us couldn't wait for the birthday girl before getting a little taste, though!

Waiting for the birthday princess to emerge so we could surprise her...

Surprise!

We love parties!

Time for the games!

Yes, that is Jason on the roof dangling the pinata!

Selfie!

Presents!?! Yes, please!

And the fun just keeps on going! Next was Jason's birthday celebration, and at long last he got his birthday on the lake.
BEST DAY EVER!

We rented a boat and 2 jet skis and spent the day on the 85 degree water.

Dad was the first to try the skis behind the boat!

He and Jason did pretty well, but it looked tricky!

Captain Baldwin, at the helm.

Grandma was diligent with the flag to signal someone in the water...staying on the things being pulled by the boat was pretty hard, so she got her work out!

Boat babe poses:

Captain Kleinman takes the wheel!

What good is a day on the lake if it isn't followed up with a bbq?

Present time, daddy!

We had to squeak in more pool time before taking off. What a great way to kick off our summer!

I didn't take as many videos as pics, but the compilation is still fun!

And on the way home we made our usual homage to the route 66 tribute to Cars (the movie).

The kids each wanted a picture with their favorite:

Hard to go back home after such a great time with family. I love the warm, sunny weather of Arizona in the summer! But, it is only a car ride away.
