Better late than never...August Update

Flash back to summer days at the pool! It seems like forever ago, which in a way it was.. ooops, but here goes. At the beginning of August we got to have Lauren and Meadow stay with us for a few days. These are a few of the pictures I took while they were here :)

Nathan LOVES the sprinklers at our community pool. He waits for them to pop up and then tries to smack them down.

This may be a little bit backwards, but we are going to skip over Jeremy's birthday to mine. For Jeremy's birthday we finished his model plane and tried to fly it, but that didn't work out as well as we had hoped. BUT, we had a great BBQ with the family, then we all went to the dinner theater together to see Jospeh and the Technicolored Dreamcoat- fabulous! For his present I got us tickets to an airshow later in the month- so details on that to follow.

For my birthday we all went to Cinzetti's for dinner (what can be better than all-you-can-eat Italian food?) I got my AMAZING presents outside the restaurant: a new camera lens and an off-camera flash!

(Side note to Sharon: Recognize those jeans? That's right (only a year and a half later, but back in the skinny jeans!)

Jeremy was so attentive for my birthday dinner. Jason's phone and games could never take the place of his wifey...right? HA!

Now back to Jeremy's birthday. The tickets to the air show were SO MUCH FUN! Jeremy's favorite part, of course, were the jets!

Big boys = Big toys

"Honey, I want one!" .... um, maybe next year?

How cool is that! These jets were so loud and so fast, but very impressive.

This is how awesome our seats were: this picture of the jet take-off was taken from my seat- right on the flight line! So much fun.

This is not an airplane, but is equipped with a jet engine! In fact, this truck raced an airplane twice and actually won once!

This has Jeremy written all over it- mounting a jet engine on a truck!? Is that even legal? :)

It looks like the glider is on fire, but actually the guy in it is holding flares of some sort. Pretty neat story about that guy- but Reader's Digest version: he has no use of his legs due to a previous gliding accident, but learned to keep doing it anyways!

I took way too many pictures and even more videos of all the cool things we saw there, but it would take forever to post them all. Someday, perhaps when the yucky weather comes and we are stuck inside, I will compile some videos and post them :)
