Happy Halloween!!!!

On Halloween, we got all dressed up in the early afternoon so we could go to the Trick or Treat down Mainstreet in Parker before hitting the neighborhood houses.

Before heading out I had to take some pics of our awesome Frozen family!

Here's Hans... chosen because he is the only main character that gets to carry a sword (all about the accessories!)

Levi got to be Olaf!
I was pretty proud of his costume this year, because I modified a polar bear costume with a few pieces of 20 cent felt to make it and it turned out so cute!

And of course our little Elsa! FYI, that is not her real hair :) We stole the fake braid from a hat we found and braided it into her hair and it matched perfectly!

Look at those darling faces, all ready to gather up a huge store of candy!

Here's our whole family, with Dad as Kristof and me as Anna to round out our cast :)

At the Trick or Treat on Mainstreet there were tons of great groups and costumes as well as just about every business in Parker there handing out flyers and candy.

I thought Nathan would really love to have his picture with the Star Wars cast, since it is a new love of his... but as soon as he laid eyes on Darth Vader he ran for the hills!

No amount of effort could convince him that it was just a guys in a costume, same as him... but Hannah decided they were pretty cool and stepped in!

She was, however, more apprehensive about standing anywhere near this guy... let alone with her back to him!

Mainstreet was SUPER crowded with trick or treaters, so that's all the pictures I managed to take. It was quite the task to keep dibs on our little crew... especially with so many Elsa's about!

When we got home we set out our pumpkins on our front step (that we had creepy-fied for FHE earlier in the week with spider webs, spiders, caution tape and a door hanging.

At the bottom of the steps you can see Jeremy's master creation.
He ended up being quite the attraction!

Here's a little closer look, and yes, there is a large flame coming out of his head.

Here is a short compilation of a few of the trick or treating videos I took :)

Sufficeth to say, they had a BLAST! Everyone got a kick out of Hannah's tiny voice shouting, "Happy Halloween!" as she trotted off... and before that she usually came up with some random comment like, "I love your scarry spiders." :) Super adorable.

The carving contest was super fun because it was such a close race between several of us all night!
In the end, my little owl won! Woot woot!, or should it be Hoot! Hoot! ???

The kids came home exhausted, but happy to pour over their spoils and soon crashed into bed, at which point the adults all shared my victory pie and watched an alien movie comedy.. because I am a baby and can't do scarry movies!

It was a great night and we all had a blast! Great costumes, great pumpkins (and prizes!), great trick or treating,  and great company!
