After hosting Christmas, Jason and Rasy were awfully quiet when the discussion of New Years came about :)
So, we offered up our place!
We had just set up our air hockey table we won from the family gift exchanges, which is so super fun! The kids have loved playing- and they even let Jason and Rasy give it a whirl.
We stocked up on party poppers (both the twisty and the pull-string ones so all ages could participate!) as well as blow out horns and hand-held noise makers and the gun powder snaps- for outside...and something new this year: confetti shooting guns!
You may also notice the Super Big Boggle game out (one of my Christmas prizes).
After 1 round, everyone decided they would only play if it was everyone against me and they could all combine their scores against mine :/
Jason brought his VR system to play with, and even Levi got a kick out of a little cartoon Alien activity!
"This is awesome!"
It was pleasant to sit and chill for a bit- after the madness that was Christmas!
Happy New Year you two love birds!
We decided to celebrate on New York time (so that we could celebrate with Heather and Will over the phone and so that we could all watch the ball drop "on cue")
So here we are waiting for the ball to drop!
3-2-1- HAPPY NEW YEAR!
These kids did surprisingly well for being as late as it was!
Now all the girls:
Nice wig, Rasy!
And with all the confetti around... I just had to!
Look at this guy!
Next up- Pinata time!
To wrap it up, I have a shot video clip of the pinata excitement as well as the fun use we found for the confetti guns: Western Draw/Standoffs!
Enjoy!
2016 has been yet another eventful year for us, full of adventures and challenges. At the end of it all- the good the bad and the ugly- I can honestly say the best word for our life this year is blessed.
I feel so grateful for the beauty and variety in our lives and can't wait to see what 2017 brings!
