I got to be a chaperone for the 3rd grade class (Nathan's class) for their schoold field trip to the Denver Aquarium. That was super fun!
Selfie with mom!
For cub scouts we had planned to take the wolves and bears on a 1 mile nature walk- but it was rainy!
Since it was a warm rain we popped up some umbrellas and went in the rain.
Dallin especially loved it! There were tons of worms on the sidewalk and he and Hannah and Levi loved playing with them.
More mommy selfies :)
Here is a little video I took on our journey- Enjoy!
We also got a notice from our HOA for the rental house that since we lost 2 trees to beetles, and one was on its last dying leg we were required to get 3 new trees in the front yard.
Digging up those stumps proved to be a lot of work! The first one was the biggest, and here it is after 2 days of digging and a good strong pull with our tow chain!
Victory at last!
Nathan and Hannah also got to participate in a living wax museum at their school. They each chose a person in history who made the world a better place. They did a research project about them, made a presentation board about them and dressed up as that person. Each person had a "button" at their station that we- as museum patrons- could push and they would come to life and tell us about themselves. Super fun! Nathan chose to be Lt. Halverson (the Candy Bomber) and Hannah picked Ruby Bridges.
Here are their presentations:
So proud of these kiddos!
