So, here is an update on how we spent our Father's day :) Regretfully, we have no pictures of the dinner theater or the evening BBQ, but I did manage to take quite a few at the park. We went to see "The King and I" with my parents for my Dad's Father's day, and it was fantastic!
On Sunday- Jeremy and I got to speak in church. My parents came down to visit our little branch and to see us speak, so that was fun. Nathan LOVES when grandma comes to church with us! After church, my parents had to go to their meetings, but all the Baldwins (and a couple of Kleinmans) got together at a park for some Daddy's day fun!
Nathan got to play at the park while we set up lunch and did presents with Ken.

Who can top a giant sandbox with tractors and trucks?

Nathan is also learning how to pump a big-boy swing. Believe it or now, he did not fall out of the swing in the process :)

Such a handsome kiddo- looks more like his daddy every day!

This is Nathan taking a rest from playing on the "Crazy Whale"- see the video at the bottom :)

There were some very cool rock formations to climb on that the big kids managed to hoist Nathan on top of as well! He LOVED it, but his daddy was a little scared of the height :)
Before we all got there, Jamie found a sort of sprinkler park near the fields and play equipment where we set up camp. While the boys assembled rockets and an airplane, Jamie Cathy and I took Nathan to see the water. As soon as we got there it was apparent that he wanted to play in it, so we stripped him down to a diaper and let him go at it! Here are a few of the pictures, and there are movie clips in the video at the end!

Jamie was trying to get on top of one of the big rocks, but it turned out to be a little slippery!

Who better to teach Nathan to water fight than his Aunt Jamie?

What are you two pointing at?

This is Jason and his food baby. Looks like those contractions are getting pretty intense! Just breathe Jason! he-he-hooooo :)

This is what Dad's day is all about.

As usual, the Baldwins swear to the motto "Safety First" - after Jason gives it a try!
Yes, he is lighting a rocket... with a stick pushing a 9 volt battery to touch the fuse.

Nathan and his grandma enjoyed the spectacle together from a much safer distance :)

Having missed his nap, Nathan started to get a bit droopy, but it was sooooo cute!

As soon as he saw me snapping pictures he decided to sit up and pose!

But as soon as the camping chair was vacated, he took his spot and got comfy.

The only one of 3 rockets to get retrieved is pictured here, with it's rescuers. Jamie did most of the rescuing, as evidenced by the bottom of her skirt! It landed in a lake over the far hill and she fought two ducks off of the parachute!

Here are a couple of the non-rocket chasers enjoying the day...such a cute couple!

More of the non-rocket chasing... it took them a while :)

Ken's turn to blow something up :)

Jason with the two smaller rockets. The one with the green tip is the only one that made it back for a second launch :)

A better picture of the "launch pad" - silly boys forgot the remote start!

Once we started launching stuff, Jeremy and Jason had a small gathering of observers (and rocket chasers)

After the rockets and airplane flying was over we played a great game of croquet. I tried to get a group shot, but the best I could get was this:

That's better guys!

Nathan thought that hitting things with large mallets through tunnels was a GREAT idea, unfortunately he didn't understand that everyone only hits one color of ball!

This is one is one of my favorite shots from the day. Look how happy my hubby is to be out in the sunshine playing with his family!

Hard to tell from here, but Jamie kicked out butts!

Right as we finished the tornado/storm sirens went off, so we packed up and headed home for a delicious steak dinner. My parents and my sister came down for the end of the day, so we had a house full, but it was wonderful to spend daddy's day with all the dads together.
More good news- I finally learned how to use YouTube to get my videos posted! So, I took all the video footage (or most of it!) and compiled a little video from the day at the park: enjoy!
NOTE: This window cut off part of the video, but if you double click on it you can watch it in full screen!
Stay Tuned for updates on the arrival of our baby Hannah on FRIDAY!!!!
