We celebrated Jeremy's 27th birthday this weekend with lots of fun- but unfortunately not a lot of pictures :( I was a slacker about that....oh well. But, we went to the dinner theater with all the Baldwin clan on Friday night to see Big River, which was really fun. Saturday we spent the morning together as a family and went out for the afternoon and evening as a couple. We had the most fabulous dinner EVER! We went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot and had a 4-course fondue dinner that was to die for, and a pleasant dining experience on top of that! Sunday night we had all the family over for dinner, cake and ice cream. Monday- his actual birthday we went out for lunch together (since he was back at work) and that evening watched a movie. All in all, a great few days!
Other bits of news: we got a new bed!!!! That is the happiest thing ever. We calculated that the mattress we had been sleeping on was about 30 years old....and was in obvious need of retirement. So, we finally went and got a new one, and it has been absolutely WONDERFUL! On top of that- Hannah has been sleeping through the night for over a week now. She sleeps from about 11pm to 7am every night! Yippeee!!!!
A big bit of news: Jeremy quit his job. After looking extensively at all our options, we both feel that this is what we should be doing, so hear me out! His schooling had come to a grinding halt this summer, when he found that of the 14 remaining courses, the next slew of 6 or so were only available to take during business hours and on campus. He wrote the school requesting evening or online courses be made available for these and their response was that if he needed that kind of availability he should consider changing his major to accounting because they have more online courses available! No thanks. With too many credits to transfer, but also too many to have come this far and not finish- we began exploring all our options. So, here is what we decided: He quit his job to attend school full-time for one semester. With special approval, he is going to take 9 classes (28 credits), leaving only 4 courses and an experiential learning credit, which (with the prerequisites he's taking this semester completed) he can take online. So, at the close of this semester he can jump into contracting, and we can finish his degree from anywhere we end up! His boss has already asked him to consider returning to Leprino at the close of the semester- so we will have to see what all the options are at that time and go from there. It is going to be a busy, hard semester- but hopefully it will all be worth it :) Wish us luck!
Last, but not least- last week we had Jason come over and take some family pictures for us. When I get them I will post them, but while I had my black backdrop up in my living room, I snapped a few shots of Hannah and I want to share my 2 favorites! Enjoy~
Also while Jason was here for our photo shoot, Nathan got to bond with Patch- Jason's puppy. Here is some of the shots from playtime :)
Here is a short video clip of them playing in the back yard ( it cuts it off here, so double click on it to see it full screen):
And these last couple are just from the camera- random cute moments :) Nap-time together on Sunday afternoon...
More coming soon! Love you all and Happy Birthday Hubby!
