Nathan turned 3 on December 11th (better late than never, eh?) and was pampered silly! First off, his daddy built him the biggest continuous track he's ever seen. It took up his whole room, with the bed pushed out of the way. The pictures don't even do it justice!
Since his actual birthday fell on a Sunday, we did his family family party that day. He was pretty excited that everyone was there just for him. Poor little guy had been sick, and still had a bit of a cough- but as soon as everyone got there he had a bounce in his step! He showed everyone his massive track in his room, and came downstairs to find a pile of presents just for him....oh goody!
Nathan wasn't the only one to enjoy the gifts... he and Hannah had a great thing going. He ripped off the paper, passed it to her and she enjoyed that while he played with his present!
I took mostly video of the present opening, since he was doing so much talking- so I compiled over an hour of footage into a 10 minute video for those interested :) Enjoy!
Now on to the friend party! Later that week, as his big present from Mom and Dad, we did a Monkey Bizness party. Nathan's favorite thing in the world (besides trains, and he has plenty of those) is slides, and playing with other kids. When it comes to slides, his all-time favorite is the huge inflatable one they have, and being December, an indoor play arena seemed perfect!
An added bonus: his cousins were in town early enough to make it to the party! Say hi!
That is the best slide ever! And it wasn't long before they discovered that more than one person could descend at once :)
These girls are so cute, and each others' best friends. I love it!
What kind of party would it be if I didn't get a picture of my sister looking sexy with our grandma?
What gorgeous ladies.
I tried to get a photo with the birthday boy, but he had so many other things to be doing besides saying "Cheese!"... it was worth a shot, though!
Grandma build him his own fort out of those big colorful thingy-ma-jigs :)
Welcome to the fort!
Playing house...
Letters! It was amazing how smart this little cookie was :) But it's no wonder when both her parents are geniuses! Good luck with that guys :P
Yummy!
Sliding with mom- yes please! That is one of the other perks of a friend party with Nathan... I have an excuse to hang out with their mommies!
Birthday boy himself even took a break for pizza!
Who's idea was it to get a bunch of toddlers cupcakes piled with colored icing?
They were pretty happy about them, though.
Now that's that ticket! Skin cleans WAY easier than clothes :)
And then there was this...
Hi girls! Say "Cheese!"
More presents!!!!
Hope everyone had as much fun as we did celebrating 3 years with our Nathan!
We feel so blessed to have such an incredible support system for ourselves and our children. We love you all!
