Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day we went back to Denver, yet again- but this time we left the kids with grandma and grandpa for Friday, Saturday, Sunday while we stole away as a couple.  We decided to rent a hotel right downtown this time around, instead of heading for a mountain getaway.  It was really great!  We had a really nice room on the 15th story of a hotel less than a block off the 16th street mall. The complimentary breakfast was superb, and we did a lot of lounging around, wandering around and mostly just talking.  It's amazing how refreshing it is to be able to have an uninterrupted conversation!  We also took advantage of the alone time to spend some time in the Denver Temple, and even squeezed in a movie at the theater!  Sorry folks- I did not really take any pictures.  I left my camera behind so I could hold hubby's hand while we walked without it falling off my shoulder, and so we could just enjoy being together- holding a camera for me a a major distraction :)  So, not many pictures, but a marvelous weekend just the same.

For Monday we re-claimed our children and went out for a birthday lunch with Jeremy's brother (since his b-day was on Sunday) at the Rodizio Grill.  He is on this special "meat and fat only" diet, so we thought that would be just the place.  For all who have not been there- it is a carnivore's paradise!

On the way back to our hotel for a small family get-together for cake and ice cream we found out Ken and Cathy were in need of road-side assistance, so we sent Nathan to help :)  He got to change his first tire!

He did a great job, and we were back on our way.  The kids even got to help Uncle Jason blow out his candles, which is a major bonus for them.

Last, but definitely not least, we did our 20-week ultrasound appointment before heading back to Oklahoma.  The pictures are never really that great- but the baby is still a boy, and is looking great!  He is growing just right, and we are half way there!

Next up, moving on to our crazy month of June!
