The same day as Levi's birthday party, since all the family was already together, we decided to head up to the pumpkin patch for the afternoon.
The kids had a blast!
Everyone was on the lookout for their perfect pumpkin!
Except maybe Levi, who was along to watch what everyone else was doing and get as sticky as possible in the dirt field with a lollipop :)
Nathan gathered up quite a stash so he would have a good selection to pick from when the time came :)
But Jason and Rasy were the heroes of the day! They wandered off and found the mother of all pumpkin fields, full of enormous pumpkins still on the vine!
We took off after them... except Levi seemed to think that the 1 ft. deep ditch in front of him was the Grand Canyon and he was left on the wrong side of it while we all left him... poor little guy!
Hannah soon found out that grandpa had juice pouches and took a break in the car with him!
Then I snagged the kids for a few pictures with their pumpkin picks.
Hannah found her perfect pumpkin and had daddy come and cut it off the vine and carry it to the car for her.
Here it is daddy! Do you like it?
Nathan also liked this plan, but he had a little more heavy lifting in store for dad!
There was a broken pumpkin that somehow looked like a trampoline to Hannah...?
But in the end we wound up with a terrific selection of amazing pumpkins!
Who wants to help mom guard the pile of finalists?
And one last family picture before we load em up!
Then... on to the fun stuff! Bouncy slide!
Sheep to feed...
Ponies to feed...
even PIGS to feed!
What a fun day at the pumpkin patch for this group of cousins!
Well, all but the littlest one, I guess.
I told them they could each pick up a pumpkin to hold... but you may notice that Levi and Tori had other ideas as to what the baby pumpkins are for!
But all smiles and tuckered out, we headed for the car and the long drive home!
We are ready to carve our Halloween pumpkins now!
