Gotta love the Museum!

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is one of our favorite places!
There are always the oldie-but goodies like the displays of stuffed animals from all over the world...

And the Space exhibit, which strikes a different fancy every time we are there!

They re-did the entire section on the human body... so we did a little divide and conquer here. Nathan can do a lot more of the activities in the "bigger" section, where the little kids enjoyed the junior version :)

AND, the added the coolest discovery zone for 2nd grade and under!

But this time around, the best part of our visit was a temporary exhibit all about robotics!

Jason even got picked to be part of the demonstration about drones!

They had all kinds of robots there that could do lots of crazy cool things, and they had practical examples for uses of each of those robots as well as some fun things they could do "Just because".
Some played soccer, some sorted candies, some assisted in remote surgery.

AND, they had a station where you could learn about programming, write your own basic code, and even program a robot to do some simple tasks.

They had a dress-up station, which was kind of a nice change of pace for the little ones!

And yes... Even daddy got to try on a robot helmet!

It was a super fun day for everyone at the museum, and we can't wait to go back again!
Thank goodness we have a pass to go all year round, because there is always more to do and see than we have the time, energy or patience to get into one day!
