Hannah's 5th Birthday

Hannah turned 5, and had a fabulous birthday!
She got her first wish... that the baby did not come on or before her birthday!

Secondly, she got her favorite breakfast, donuts, in bed... with candles!
Look at that happy face! And those curlers... wow.
She wanted to be pretty for her princess tea party :)

I took the curlers out after she had her breakfast so the curls could loosen up while she read her cards from her brothers.

The downstairs of our house had been transformed into a princess party wonderland :)

Here is her cake! So pretty!

All the  princesses came into the front room first. Here they put on make-up, accessorized, got their nails painted, and decorated jewelry boxes.

The purple table had the boxes, stickers, jewels, and sparkly things to decorate them with.
The gold table had the make-up and accessories!

Tiaras, bracelets, smelly spray....

...royal necklaces, lip gloss...

...eye shadow, blush and more necklaces!

What more could a room full of princesses want?
After getting pretty, they each stopped to get their picture taken and then proceeded under the flower curtain arch into the tea party room!

Here's my birthday princess before her guests arrived :)

The dining area as well as the "ballroom" each had a drop down ceiling, and the balloon arch lead from one area to the next.

A couple more shots of this gorgeous girl, dressed as Rapunzel for her big day!

The center of the tea table was a tower of treats :)

When Hannah saw it she turned around and ran to me, hugged me, and said, "This is the best tea party EVER!"

Each chair had it's own unique tea cup and a glass slipper with skittles in it that they got to take home as party favors. Hannah picked her cup beforehand, and her chair was marked with the large pink bows. Everyone else picked their seats by which cup they wanted to take home.

The tea party started at 11:00 am, so things got busy rather quickly :)
Good thing Nathan loves to help damsels in distress! Everyone with necklace troubles asked him for help!

The girls all LOVED getting to do their own make-up :)

And Aunt Rasy was super helpful at the nail painting station :)

So much girly-ness in one room :)

One of our favorite babysitters also volunteered to come be an extra pair of helping hands... the girls really loved her :)

Hannah wanted to paint her own nails, and since it was her birthday- of course she did!

Here are some of our honored guests after getting all pretty!

And the whole group :)

The tea party was a complete success!!! The girls LOVED it!
They all sat and conversed like the princesses that they are, and enjoyed PBJ's cut into starts and hearts, string cheese, fruit kabobs, apple juice and sweets from the center tower.

Aunt Rasy wanted to be the "servant", so she got to pour all the tea :)

Aunt Jamie was also super helpful serving out the tea party goods :)
Nathan had also gone and put on his suit so he could be a prince and join the party!

Hannah got her own tea pot, upon request, and was pouring her own as well as tea or her neighboring princesses :)

Levi was warming up the dance floor in the ballroom, chasing around the spare balloons :)

Time for cake!!!!

Cousin Tori (aka Princess Jasmine) was especially excited for her cupcake :)

After the tea party Hannah opened her presents!

Thanks so much for all the fun new toys!!!!

The final portion of the event was a dance party to keep everyone occupied until all the parents arrived. Nathan and Hannah lead the royal entrance to the dance floor :)

We did free style dancing, freeze dancing, as well as a special version of magic fairy wand dancing.

Nathan and Hannah were really tearing up the dance floor :)

And had a great time doing it!

Rasy's mom was the official Kayla holder, but also enjoyed watching the spectacle of princessness!

Being a princess looked like so much fun, Levi wanted to give it a go :)

... and so did Johnny (perhaps mostly against his will!)

Princess tea party... success!
Hannah had a great time, as did all of her guests, and it was so fun to see her get to feel like a real princess. We sure love having her in our family. She fills our lives with her own flavor of love and excitement that I couldn't imagine life without.
