Nathan's baptism

Nathan and I went on a mommy-son outing to take some pictures at the temple and pick out his new scriptures for his baptism.

By the time we got there the sun was setting and the lighting was terrible, but we tried anyways... this guy could make even the worst shot look pretty good.

They even had their nativity up!

This was by far my favorite shot of my handsome boy!

So, we used it to create an invite for Nathan's baptism :)

The big day arrived and we woke up to a blizzard that had already dropped over 8 inches on the ground! Not sure what kind of turn out we would have... we made it to the Stake Center and hoped for the best! Jeremy was going to go over in the morning to fill the font (which takes 3 hours) but we realized in the morning that our civic wasn't going to make it, and since the font can't be left unattended, we had all to go 3 hours early. I packed up the food prep I had left and brought it with me! We got the font filled nice and warm, and had some time to spare!

After a wonderful baptsimal service, the family in attendance all came back to the house for some refreshments!

We were especially glad that Heather, Will and Andrew made it all the way from Rochester New York for this special day. It was a short but fun-packed few days- during which we found out that they are expecting!!!!! Congrats guys!

Most of all, Congratulations to Nathan. We are so proud of not only his decision to be baptized but with his diligence in preparing for it. He has solidly memorized and understands the 13 articles of faith, has been reading his Book of Mormon on his own in addition to with the family, decided on his own to start fasting and to listen to at least one talk during every sacrament meeting. He is also very helpful, forgiving and an incredible example of the Savior in so many ways.
