This year we were Harry Potter themed in our costumes, and did our trick-or-treating down in Castle Rock in Jason's neighborhood.
Ken and Cathy got them some super cool inflatable decorations for their yard, and then the walkway was lined with our usual pumpkin carving contest.
Here is our brood of Harry, Hermirone, Draco, and Ron.. and Jeremy and I went as Professors Snape and Trelawney (the weird divination teacher)
The kids got quite the bit of loot this year between 2 trunk-or-treats and trick-or-treating!
Here are a few more shots of the outside display at Jason and Rasy's house!
Hannah's pumpkin:
Jeremy's Octonauts pumpkin (several pumpkins had rotting issues this year with the cold weather, so we had a few dioramas!)
Rasy made a caurosel
I did the owl (with Dallin and a drill) as well as the white skeleton/skull that got washed out with the flash.
Levi's kitty:
Cathy did a massive pirate ship, and was this year's winner!
Jeremy also made a little Star Wars trio with the mini pumpkins and some Star Wars Mr. Potato Head components... they turned out pretty cute!
You can see a better view of the display at the end of the video compilation when we came back to the house for a nice warm bowl of Ken's chili!
And, because I am funny like this... here is a barrage of photos I took of our kiddos before our ward Trunk-or-Treat, a few days before Halloween.
Dallin, as Ron:
Wands at the ready!
Levi made the cutest little Draco Malfoy, and got a TON of attention for it!
Nathan was all too pleased to be going as the one and only, Harry Potter!
Hannah made the perfect Hermirone, bossy and all!
Look at that hair! Amazing what a night in braids will do!
She was especially excited that we found a time turner in the costume jewelry at the consignment store. She really felt it made the outfit!

Last but not least, a little video of our Halloween fun! Enjoy!
