Our new year's eve celebrations were pretty low key this year, but we kept with the simple traditions.
We did the little "poppers" with confetti in them at the end of the countdown as we watched the ball drop live in Times Sqare (yes, we celebrate on EST to avoid disaster on multiple fronts!)

Once we get the noise and the "happy new years'" out of the way we let the kiddos break open a pinata!
Always starting with the youngest (well, Dallin was in bed, so we started with Kayla!)
Then Kylie...
and Levi...
Tori and Hanna were both a bit of a blur and hard for me to catch, but everyone did get 2 turns :)
Nathan was ready to do some damage!
He knocked off the first cone and took it as a victory crown!
Kayla also knocked off a few points... but she donated her victory crown...
to her gorgeous mama!
Here's Kylie with her spoils!
Starting to look a little bare... but Levi was determined to bust it open!
Wait, where did Daddy get a victory crown? :)
Time to gather up the spoils!
Look at all these cousins! Where did all these kids come from?
Now, if only we could get Andrew and Elaine in the mix!
The kids all had fun staying up late and ringing in the new year, as did the grown ups!
At the start of 2018 I feel grateful and hopeful for so many good things.
This year is going to be a good one because we will make it a good one, come what may!
Wishing everyone the best in the coming year~ Happy New Year! Bring it on 2018!
