Our Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was our final trip to Colorado for this year. It marked 6 weeks since Levi's arrival, and the last baby-related OB visit for me. Jeremy had already used up all his "can I work remotely?" cards when I had the baby, so we was only going to get Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after off work. In order to see my doctor, I had to head out a day earlier- so Tuesday morning, bright and early the kids and I set out on our 12 hour drive. We got in around 9pm on Tuesday, saw the doctor on Wednesday morning and Jeremy flew out to join us on Wednesday after work.

Before we went, though- Nathan finished out his 2nd season of soccer, and got a trophy!

Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous, and Jason made the best turkey I have EVER eaten! Bacon wrapped turkey hit a whole new level this year. Seriously, super yummy. Yummy enough that the left-overs were gone before we left... oops.

After dinner we followed tradition and busted out the Black Friday ads. Yes, we show gratitude by making long lists of the things we wish to acquire... but at a huge discount!

Oh, and if you are wondering about the mask- Heather wound up with the flu and did not wish to contaminate our newborn- so thanks to Heather for sacrificing for our family's health!

Black Friday was craziness, as usual, but we managed to get just about all our shopping for Christmas done, and even come in under budget! :)

Saturday was a loafing day with the family, since Sunday we would be making the long drive home.
But, before heading out we were able to get the whole family (minus Tori) to attend Jamie and Dan's ward to assist us in blessing Levi.

Our family of FIVE!

We have been so blessed! Look at those beautiful kiddos!
Upon reflecting on my blessings this thanksgiving I felt that one of my greatest blessings in life is my family. I am so thankful for my loving, supportive husband and the 3 beautiful children we have. They each bring color and joy into my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Upon arriving home, it REALLY started to feel like Christmastime. With the shopping and traveling done we had the rest of the season open for the fun stuff!

We started doing some baking- which started a wave that got out of control! More on that later :)

We had some snow arrive- which the kids LOVED!

Snowball fight!

Daddy even helped make a snow "fort"- which was more like a snow wall before Nathan crashed into it!

And what's a snow day without T-ball, right?

Ta-Da, a pyramid!

Again, with the crashing!

But Hannah was able to recover some of the big chunks and find use for them :)

And Nathan followed suit!

Levi waited happily inside- toasty warm by the fire.

Next up, releasing the Christmas decorations!

Levi was a huge help but drinking his bottle by himself :)

Nathan and Hannah had a ball helping with the tree decorations!

And this year, Hannah got to be the one to put the angel on top of the tree- with a little help from daddy.

Looks LOVELY!

With the trees up and the stockings hung...

"Now when is Santa coming!???"
