A visit from Grandpa!

We had a special treat at the beginning of this month. A visit from Grandpa Ard!

He was in town for an on-site week of work, and had the afternoon on Friday to spend with us.

We picked him up from his work and dropped by Wendy's on our way to a nearby park with a lake where we could feed the ducks.

Everybody had a great time!

We decided to let the kiddos go play at the park for a bit before heading out, and what do they find?

An overflowing sandbox/mud pit.

Levi seemed to be pretty content with the bark, though :)

After a rinse off in the regular sprinkler park, and some time to run around and dry up we got ready to head back home.

Thanks, Grandpa, for helping me with my shoes!

Grandpa came loaded up with prizes from he and grandma, which the kids LOVED!

I wish I had taken more pictures, but I got caught up just enjoying the time with dad and watching him play with the kids.

I did get one shot of Hannah with her Tiara on, because she asked me to take a picture with my phone so she could see it :)

It was sooooo fun to see Dad again, and to see the kids light up to be with their grandpa. A special thanks to dad for taking the time to spend the afternoon with us on his busy week out here.
