My dad flew into town for some work stuff on the north side of Denver and then came to stay with us for a couple of days before heading back to Sunny Arizona.
It was so fun to have him around for a few days!
He even made us his famous French toast, and the kids got to help.
Then, of course, there were prizes!
Funny story about Hannah's jewelry... not one day before she was watching me put on some jewelry and asked, "When can I get some jewelry? I really want some!"
Needless to say we was SOOO excited to have her very own Frozen jewelry show up almost on command!
Nathan's sword makes all kinds of amazing noises, but the best is a long rock song (pretty sure it's the Power Ranger theme song), and he told me that he pushes that button to play a song to cheer him on as he goes into battle :) This little guy has a soundtrack to his imaginary fighting!
I got too wrapped up in the enjoying of the gifts to document it properly, but I did get this one short video :)
For Christmas this year my parents got us some outings as a family, which the kids live for.
So, we thought it would be fun to wait for Grandpa to go so he could join in on the fun!
The first outing we did was to the Brunswick Zone. The kids were sure they wanted to do real bowling. However, once we got in, found that it was over a 90 minute wait at best, they had no balls lighter than 8 lbs, and there were other fun things to do there... we changed course.
The boys went and did laser tag, which Nathan lives for! And then we spent the rest of our time letting the kids wander around the arcade and play games. This was a special treat for them because we pass arcades like this all the time and we NEVER really stop and play. This time they got to play everything they wanted, sometimes even twice!
Sadly, I did not bring my camera and my phone battery was nearly dead upon arrival :(
BUT, I made certain I had my camera at the ready for our outing to Fun City in Littleton!
The kids really loved the Foam factory- a 3 story play area filled with foam balls and different gadgets to put them in or launch them with :)

Even grandpa got to shoot some innocent kids he didn't know :)
Funny story about this crazy hair! That morning we went to get him a hair cut since his class pictures would be taking place on Wed and Jeremy and I were leaving for the Bahamas the very next day.
He picked a hair cut from the book that looked great, and she did a great job cutting it... but when it came time to style it, she asked him, "How do you want me to style it, like the picture?"
His response: "I want to look like a hedgehog... make it spikey and sharp!"
And that she did :)
This vacuum thingy sucked in balls and then launched them out the top. Levi loved that it would snatch them right out of his hands!
Nathan was having a hard time getting the balls he needed up to the 3rd floor to shoot down at people, so Jeremy took off his hoodie and made a large sack out of it.... silly boys.
Here is the large gun they were hauling the balls up to!
The other area we spent time in that day was this fun miniature city, complete with a bounce house!
But they also had a bakery or something of the sort...
Hannah was in her element :)
Look Mom! My first lasagna! You wanna try some?
Here's a short compilation of the video footage!
Enjoy~
We all had a wonderful day at Fun City, playing and playing til we couldn't play anymore :)
We hit the Costa Vida on the way back home to get the grown ups some yummy sweet pork burritos, which we enjoyed at home before taking Grandpa back to the airport.
What fun it was to have grandpa visit for a few days! We certainly enjoyed his visit!
Come back soon~ We miss you!
