Oklahoma Again!

Here are just a few pictures with our Oklahoma friends. So fun to get to visit them each time we have a week in Bartlesville!

Drinking and driving already? One look at that face says he's had too much :)

Levi and Nyx made a fort out of the dog crate.. :)

And while we were in town, we took the opportunity to visit the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
Super cool!

Nathan and Hannah are standing next to a real fighter jet with a missile replica on it, but the replica has actually been launched as a rocket!

Nathan thought this plane looked like it was made of tin foil :)

Look Mom! I'm an astronaut!

We learned about cylinders and pistons on engines...
as much as mom could explain (super elementary version).

And even got to see the inside of a commercial airbus from American Airlines.
Nathan was fascinated with all the switches and controls in the cock pit.

He asked me, "what do they all do?"
My response.... "Ummm, well I suppose that steering wheel controls up and down, and that stick there is the throttle...and as for the rest of these... I have no idea. Ask daddy, I'll take a picture!"

Sure enough he could look at the picture and tell Nathan what most of those controls did!

Nathan and Hannah set up camp in the first class seats, and were quite impressed with the fold-out desks/tables in the arm rests!

Levi was content to wander within the vicinity of where the big kids were.

T
The whole back end of the plane had been emptied out (probably for large groups to stand in during tours... but we were the only people on ours!)

Nathan loved looking inside all the planes, but especially the fighter jests because he could see the buttons for firing weapons and ejecting the pilot seat!

There was one that they could sit in and touch everything in it. They had a blast pretending they were flying real fighter jets.

And then there was Levi....

Also having fun, but hindering ever so slightly the "flying" of their jet.

It was a slow, but good week in Oklahoma, however we were all glad to head home when it was over!
We'll visit again soon, and hopefully it will be warmer!
