Spreading Christmas Cheer

After reclaiming our house from the ninja party on Saturday I took to making up our cookie plates!
With us leaving town that Friday, our best bet for finding people home was going to be Sunday evening.

Sadly, I don't have many pictures- just the ones hubby took with his phone amidst my baking madness!

But, for the record- this year's deliveries consisted of pumpkin bread, fudge, butterball cookies, penut butter cookies, and pecan/pretzel turtles.

Pay no attention to the sweaty lady in the apron :)
Somebody has to taste it, right?
We made up 21 cookie plates (and that was after shortening the list!)

On Sunday night we delivered 14 plates between 7:20 and 8:30 pm, each with a carol or 2.
The first place we went was Jason and Rasy's (since they declined coming!) We were going to try and convince them to come... but then Jason opened the door wearing nothing but a towel, so we caroled, left the goodies and moved on! :) He says he was getting a hair cut, and for the sake of the children we let it slide... hehehe.

But, it did look like so much fun that they joined us for the remainder of our deliveries on Monday night. We even got someone to take a group photo on Jason's phone in the lobby of one o the apartment buildings we visited.

Everyone say Merry Christmas!

Making cookie plates and delivering them with an evening of caroling is one of my favorite traditions. I felt so blessed that we could continue that tradition even though this year has been busy busy busy! Thanks to everyone who came and made us sound good!
