We drove all night on Thursday after Jeremy got off work, and pulled in to Denver about 3:30am on Friday. After catching up on some sleep and a wonderful breakfast, one of the first items of business was to meet the newest arrival: cousin Victoria! Congrats Jamie and Dan!
I couldn't help myself, so I laid her on the bed of our hotel room to take a few quick snaps :)
Our next stop was to see my doctor, but everyone else went and waited at Little Monkey Bizness. All the cousins had a blast!
Grandpa even gave Hannah her first Lunchable. "Mom! How could you not tell me about these!"
Heather and Andrew got right down to the dirty business of painting!
After Heather did his football war paint, Andrew declared war and went for the hair! (You can see the portion he was able to grab before she called a truce)
"Hey, Mom! No pictures! I'm not done yet!"... okay picasso :)
I guess it's a thunder storm :) We get a lot of great thunderstorms in Oklahoma, and he has decided he's a fan!
Look at these crazy kids all grown up and being parents!
Such a good daddy :)
Such a good mama??? Perhaps in a few more years :)
Even Andrew was taken by surprise on the giant inflatable slide!
The doctor's visit went well! We found out that- first off, there is just one baby :) Second off, we are further along than we thought, and now have a projected due date of October 23rd, which means we will likely deliver the week before that. Anna may have to share her birthday, or at least the week :) And third- the ultrasound showed the baby is doing well (had the hiccups!) ... and is very likely a BOY! She was pretty confident, but said we will get another look at the end of May to double check!
I know it's hard to see anything in these, but for what it's worth:
This will give you a better idea of what we got to see :)
The next morning was Jeremy's test. Since I had to drop him off downtown, the kids and I hit the children's museum just a few blocks away. My parents decided to join us for a bit and got to see some serious play time :)
Nathan gathered quite a bunch before showing me his spoils :) Luckily, Grandpa was all ready to help him find new spots for all of them!
Hannah found her element in the tiny world that was the Children's museum. From cooking soup and making sandwiches, to grocery shopping and running the pizzeria!
"Mom, I'm serving lunch here!"
Nathan did some fly fishing (luckily not at the peril of any of the smaller children present!) and before long, Grandpa took him to the more exciting parts of the museum for him! (I guess rocket launching, giant gears and ball racing are more fun than playing house for some)
A slide! Just my size!
Hannah finally branched out to one last place of interest: the bubble factory! Not quite as cool as having a grown-up world her size, but a close second... especially when you have a Grandma to ride on!
We had planned on going to the Old Spagetti Factory for lunch, but by the time we got there (less than 5 minutes down the road) we had lost our tuckered out kiddos to sleep and decided to take advantage of the down time and drive to our afternoon destination: Colorado Springs!
We spend the remainder of Saturday celebrating Cathy's birthday. We went swimming at a YMCA in the Springs that had a wave pool, a lazy river, a 2-story slide, and what Nathan called the "washing machine"- a pretty strong whirlpool :)
Grandpa brought a water launcher that Nathan took and got some great use out of!
Grandpa also walked Andrew around the lazy river so long he actually eventually fell asleep in the pool!
Hannah got cold and decided to sit with Daddy and Aunt Jamie for a while :)
Back at the hotel, Grandma gave the kids some prizes to keep them occupied, then we ordered in Chili's to-go for dinner.
After dinner we had cake and ice cream, did presents, and spent the evening enjoying each other's company in our adjoining hotel rooms. We all stayed in the Springs because the next morning was Victoria's baby blessing in Jamie and Dan's ward (at 9am!)
Before bed, the kids got to learn how to play Jenga with daddy. In fact, Jason, Jeremy and Nathan all played a round together and Nathan did surprisingly well!
Sunday morning we all had breakfast in the lobby, and Andrew was making new friends right and left with his handsome smolder :)
We rushed off to church, made it just in time, and enjoyed a lovely Sunday with Jamie, Dan, both their parents, and all the Baldwin siblings and cousins. Here's the bunch of us!
I snagged a shot of the new family with Dan's parents before they had to take off- cheese!
That was about the last of the good pictures before the kids lost it and the party disbanded. But it was not due to lack of effort!
Hannah: "Mom- no more pictures, PLEASE!"... Andrew: "Forget her, keep snapping!"
Nathan: "Mom, she's embarrassing me again"
Andrew: "Well, you still have me! CHEESE!"
Nathan did much better once we stole Andrew's lady-killin' hat and got one-on-one for a sec.
We re-convened back at Jamie and Dan's house and tried another take of getting all 4 cousins together.... this is what we got:
Victoria did GREAT, though!
We were so glad we got to be there for this special event for Jamie and Dan, as well as see the other family. Even though it was a short weekend again, it was a good one and we'll be doing it again before you know it- this time for GRADUATION!!!!!

You're pregnant! Hooray! (Sorry, I'm late to that party.) Also, the Children's Museum looks awesome. We'll have to try that one out.
