Our Easter at home

Easter morning the kids had a quick breakfast and we headed off to church!
Happy Easter Mamma!

I tried to snap a few pictures of the kids before they got naps or chocolate :)  Because of a minor incident the night before with the washing machine, Nathan wore his last year's Easter suit on Sunday instead of his new pink one- but oh well.

After Hannah's short nap we hid the kid's baskets and let them hunt for them (good ol' fashioned hot and cold style!)

Once we made it outside, Hannah was more interested in playing T-ball than hunting :)

But when Nathan found the stash, Hannah was right behind him!

Hannah mostly played with her chocolate bunny, hopping it around... until

Nathan took a bite out of it! Once they discovered the bunnies were hollow they wanted to fill them with their Reece's Pieces... which you can see went really well :)

Once Hannah took her bunny back and began ravishing it, Nathan discovered his T-Ball bunny!

After a yummy pot roast dinner, we did their egg hunt!

Nathan got REALLY into it, and totally biffed it several times!

After all the action was over and we watched cousin Andrew try his hand at egg dying, my 3 technology junkies sat together and enjoyed watching the footage of the day's events :)

Here's what they were watching!

On a less secular note: We had a neat experience with Nathan this Easter and helping him understand the real meaning of it.  We had been talking all week about the life of Jesus Christ and about how he died for us, that we celebrate his resurrection because he now lives for us.  He did a great job really listening, and thought about this all week.  Primary did a great job of reiterating the same things on Sunday.  When we got home from church he was telling me all about that Easter is not about eggs or bunnies or chocolates, but about Jesus and that he is alive.  Then, perplexed- he asked, "But if Easter is not about bunnies or eggs or chocolates, why does everyone have them?"  I was so happy that he would ask!  So, we talked about spring and fun things we do at holidays to celebrate and remember the real reason for the season :)  Gotta love that boy!

We had a wonderful Easter with our little family both spiritually and secularly.  I hope that everyone else did too!
