Bubble Run

So, Jamie convinced us to sign up for this bubble run with her...and they she didn't even come! (Maybe it's her secret way of telling us we are fat and need to exercise...)
But, we are so glad we did it!

We let Dallin set the pace to get an idea of how ready we all are to walk our tootsies off in Disneyland this fall. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the kiddos did!

They give you a white bubble run shirt when you register--and by the end it gets pretty colorful :)
Before:

After the first set of bubbles...the white ones- so no color change but lots of wetness!
This little guy was shorter than the bubbles, so I had to keep a hold of him as he went through.
All I could see was a little blog of bubbles moving in front of me!

Starting to see lots of pink!
After going through the pink bubbles Hannah, Dallin and Levi had pink hair and Nathan had pink eyebrows!

There were benches and things along the way, and after about half way Dallin found one and sat on it with no plans of moving....until someone walked by with a dog! Then he chased the dog all the way to the next bubble station!

Most of the race was on trails more like this:

And when we came across this cool dam Dallin couldn't help but want to play Pooh sticks!

About every km of the 5K had a bubble stop, an archway that made large mounds of bubbles you could run through!

Funny story about Nathan: As we were walking along Hannah blurted out that she saw a family from our ward (which happens to have a daughter his age that he enjoys spending time with). He could not walk facing forward until he verified if they (she) were actually there or not. Super distracted, and falling all over himself he finally spotted them...and then coicidentally had to tie his shoe...until the very moment they caught up with us :) Then he pops to his feet "Oh, Hey Kailey! You guys are doing the bubble run too, eh?"....so smooth :)

After:

The kids were stoked to get a medal of completion as well as a cool colored shirt to keep.
It was a super fun way to spend a morning and we would love to do it again!

Enjoy this compilation of the bubble run awesomeness!
