Nathan's Shenanigans

Okay, let me explain.... 

So- Nathan had to miss a day of school, and the day he went back he came home and said,

"Last week everyone picked parts for our play, but since I wasn't there I got assigned the old lady!"

But, he made a mighty fine old lady :)

You may notice, that somehow Mr. Weaver is a young lady from his class and he wound up being cast as Mrs. Weaver...I asked about this and he answered so matter of factly that she wanted a more important role with more lines, so she picked Mr. Weaver, leaving him as Mrs. Weaver.

Their whole play was about 10 minutes long, so I'll just post Nathan's part of it since it is at the end :)

That same night was the pinewood derby!

Nathan designed his own car for his final derby and it was pretty impressive!

Here was our treat table!

Hawaiian Punch as washer fluid

Veggie Straws as dip sticks

Chocolate donuts as spare tires 

Bugle chips as traffic cones

Frosted rice crispy treats as traffic lights

and Red Vines as tow ropes

We had too many cars to fit them all in the parking garage, so some are double parked :)

It was a great race, and all the races were SUPER close!

The boys all did such a good job with their cars this year!

In the end, Nathan wound up in 4th place..but was proud of his effort and placement.

This boy has really loved being a cub scout. He has been a great participant, and a good leader to many of the other boys. Couldn't be more proud of my cub scout!
